Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
SlumberCheck ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit https://slumbercheck.com.
1. Information We Collect
a. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors interact with our site. GA4 collects anonymous usage data such as:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (city level only)
- Referring website or traffic source
This data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not merge it with any personally identifiable information. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
b. Local Storage (Browser)
Our interactive tools (Sleep Cycle Calculator, Sleep Quality Assessment, Sleep Environment Checker) store your inputs and results in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Data stored includes: calculation results, assessment scores, and environment checklist responses — identified only by generic keys like slumber_calculator, slumber_assessment, and slumber_environment.
c. Information You Voluntarily Provide
We do not currently offer user accounts, comments, or contact forms. If you email us directly (see Section 7), any personal information you share will be used solely to respond to your inquiry and will not be shared with third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Operate and improve our interactive sleep health tools
- Analyze site traffic and usage patterns (via GA4)
- Display relevant affiliate product recommendations
3. Cookies
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish unique users and track usage sessions. These cookies are set by _ga and _ga_<container-id> and expire after 2 years. They do not contain personally identifiable information.
You can disable cookies by adjusting your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.
4. Third-Party Services
a. Google Analytics
As described in Section 1(a). Data processing is governed by Google's privacy policy.
b. Amazon Associates
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. This means we may earn a commission when you purchase products through certain links on our site. Amazon's use of your data is governed by the Amazon Privacy Notice.
c. Google Fonts & Tailwind CSS
These third-party services are loaded via CDN and may log your IP address for content delivery. Their privacy practices are governed by their respective policies.
5. Data Retention
Google Analytics retains user-level and event-level data for 14 months. localStorage data persists in your browser until you clear it. We do not maintain any server-side databases or logs of your activity beyond what GA4 collects.
6. Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of data GA4 has collected about you
